When people ask what car they drive, what do they answer?

“I drive a BMW” - that’s all they’ll give you.

When I was 18, I had a 1997 Ford Explorer Sport. My friends gave me an M badge for my birthday, so I stuck it on the explorer, jokingly said it was an Explorer Sport M.

I was considering removal of the Mazda5 badges and replacing them with ///M5 badges instead. It’s the same thing really, just a little shorter, right? It’s not like I’m trying to convince anyone that my $20K minivan is a $75K sports sedan.
I had some fun over the years with modified badging, making a custom ‘Vanagon GTI’ badge out of factory parts for a laugh. I also had a ‘Police Interceptor’ badge on the back of the WindStar. Unlike the dweebs that put the ///M badge on their basic BMWs, there was absolutely nothing serious about my over-the-top minivan badging and I wasn’t trying to convince anyone that my cars were more than they were.
